After the hardware change, the car needed software adjustments so it would run correctly, while keeping smooth, OEM-style drivability.
Bench access required
Unlike many cars, this Bosch MED17.9.9 ECU needed bench access rather than standard OBD programming to complete the work properly. It was programmed with AutoTuner.
