Ford Ranger tuning
Ford Ranger remapping in Bristol, Somerset and South Wales
The Ranger is a working truck first, and a remap makes it a better one: more low-down torque for towing and loads, and a more relaxed drive on the road. We tune it at your home address, farm or workplace. We come to you from our Weston-super-Mare base, across Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, South Wales and parts of Devon and Dorset.

Torque where a pick-up needs it
For a pick-up, the gain that matters is torque low in the rev range. A Stage 1 remap makes towing, pulling away loaded and climbing steep lanes noticeably easier, with less need to work the engine hard.

A remap does not change the manufacturer's towing or gross weight limits. We check the clutch, gearbox and engine first, because towing strains the drivetrain more than anything else, and we calibrate within sensible limits for it.
Economy-focused calibration is available for high-mileage trucks, with smoother torque so the engine works less hard. Results depend on use and driving style.
Gearbox tuning
Automatic Rangers use a 6-speed or, on later trucks, the 10-speed automatic. Where a gearbox tune is supported for your truck, it smooths shifts and helps the gearbox use the extra torque; we confirm what applies from your registration.
Warning lights on working diesels
DPF, EGR and AdBlue faults are common on hard-working diesels. We can help diagnose and fix the cause on site, usually for far less than replacement parts.
Before any work
Every appointment starts with a diagnostic scan and a check of the vehicle's condition. If something needs attention first, we tell you before any tuning is done. Installed software is covered by our lifetime software warranty, and tuning is a modification, so remember to tell your insurer.

Common questions
Is a remapped Ranger better for towing?
Yes. The extra low-down torque makes towing more relaxed. The manufacturer's towing and weight limits stay the same, and we check the drivetrain first.
Can you tune the Ranger Raptor?
Yes. We confirm your exact engine and ECU from the registration before quoting.
Will a remap improve fuel economy?
It can, especially with an economy-focused calibration, because the engine works less hard. We never promise a fixed saving, as it depends on use and driving style.
