Who we are
This website is run by Mtech Tuning Ltd, trading as MTechTuning, a mobile vehicle tuning business based in Weston-super-Mare, BS22 8NF. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this site. You can reach us at mtechtuninguk@gmail.com or by WhatsApp message on +44 7961 278817.
What the quote form collects
- Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
- Vehicle and location details: registration, an optional vehicle description and your postcode.
- Enquiry details: the service you choose, your message, and confirmation that we may contact you.
The form also records where the enquiry came from (for example, the vehicle lookup), so we understand the context.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, check whether your vehicle and location are suitable, give you a quote and arrange an appointment if you go ahead.
Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to take these steps before potentially entering into a contract with us. If you become a customer, we also keep records we need to provide the service and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we never sell them.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the website and handle enquiries:
- Vercel hosts this website and runs the quote form.
- Resend delivers your enquiry to our inbox by email and sends you a confirmation.
- DVLA receives the registration you give us, so we can see your vehicle's make, engine size, and MOT and tax status before replying.
- postcodes.io and OpenStreetMap routing (OSRM) receive your postcode (not your name or other details), so we can estimate the driving time to you.
- Umami counts visits to this website without cookies and without collecting personal information (see Cookies and analytics below).
- Upstash stores the site's own anonymous daily visit totals (see Cookies and analytics below).
- Google provides the email inbox we reply from, the reviews shown on this site and the site's fonts. Loading the fonts means your browser contacts Google's servers.
- Bensky provides the embedded gains checker. Anything you choose or type into it is handled by Bensky under its own privacy notice.
Some of these providers are based, or store data, outside the UK. Where that happens, they protect it using safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
We keep quote enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact about them, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. If you become a customer, we keep job and invoice records for as long as the law requires, typically six years for accounting purposes. After that, the information is erased.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The embedded gains checker is provided by Bensky and may set its own cookies when you use it.
We use Umami to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, which website or search engine sent you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (country and region). It does not use cookies, does not identify you and does not follow you across other websites. We also count actions such as sending a quote request or tapping WhatsApp, recording only the service, the first half of the postcode and the page, never your name or contact details.
The site also keeps its own daily totals of the same kind (pages viewed, where visits came from, device type and the actions above), stored with Upstash. To count visitors without cookies, it uses a scrambled code made from your connection that changes every day; it cannot be reversed to identify you, and your IP address is never stored.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to erase your information
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
- ask for your information in a portable format
To make a request, contact us using the details on this page. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
