The results

From 258hp as standard to 310hp, the Volkswagen Amarok gained 52hp, roughly 20% more power.

Torque rose from 580Nm to 680Nm (+100Nm), which is what you feel most in everyday driving: stronger pull from low revs and easier overtaking.

What the work involved

This was a Stage 1 calibration: no hardware changes, just carefully refined engine software. Boost, fuelling, timing and torque limits are adjusted within safe margins for more usable performance every day.

We also tuned the gearbox, raising its torque limits to match the engine and making shifts quicker and more decisive, particularly in Sport and manual modes.
