The Audi Q3 35 TDI is already a good all-round vehicle from factory, but the standard calibration is fairly restricted, especially through the mid-range. This Stage 1 setup focuses on improving how the engine delivers its power rather than making it feel overdone or aggressive.

Torque comes in earlier and carries more cleanly through the rev range, giving the car a noticeably stronger pull in everyday driving. Throttle response is sharper, acceleration feels smoother under load, and the vehicle feels more responsive overall without losing the refined OEM characteristics Audi intended it to have.

The aim with this calibration is to make the Q3 feel like a better version of itself, not a completely different car.

Gearbox Calibration

Alongside the engine tune, this vehicle also received a gearbox calibration to properly support the increased torque output and improve shift behaviour.

Gearbox Software Changes

• Raised clutch clamping pressure
• Increased clutch torque limiters
• Faster overall shift speed
• Higher clamping force during launch
• Slightly quicker manual mode blips

The gearbox feels more consistent and responsive under acceleration, particularly during harder driving or when pulling through multiple gears.
