BMW G20 320i Stage 1 Remap & Same-Day MG1CS201 ECU Unlock

A later BMW G20 320i cannot always be tuned through the diagnostic socket straight away. Many use a Bosch MG1CS201 ECU with manufacturer protection that must be identified and, where required, unlocked before a calibrated Stage 1 file can be written.

BMW G20 320i Stage 1 Remap & Same-Day MG1CS201 ECU Unlock

This BMW G20 320i went from 184hp and 290Nm to 260hp and 420Nm with our Stage 1 ECU calibration, a gain of 76hp and 130Nm. Its locked Bosch MG1CS201 ECU was unlocked on site and the gearbox tuned in the same appointment.

Same-day MG1CS201 bench unlock

The newer Bosch MG1CS201 ECU is locked from the factory. Using our same-day mobile unlock service, we removed the ECU, unlocked it on the bench and refitted it at the customer’s address, then completed the Stage 1 calibration and gearbox tune. No ECU mail-in and no days waiting.

B48 tuning potential

The G20 320i uses BMW’s B48 2.0 turbo engine, which has excellent tuning potential. Stage 1 brings a big increase in power and torque, stronger mid-range performance and sharper throttle response, while keeping smooth, factory-like drivability.

M-Lite burble

The owner had fitted an aftermarket exhaust, so we added an M-Lite burble for a little extra character without going for an aggressive pops and bangs setup.

Does my BMW have a locked ECU?
