BMW M340i G20 Stage 1, Same-Day ECU Unlock & Gearbox Tune

This BMW G20 M340i went from 374hp and 500Nm to around 450hp and 650Nm with our Stage 1 ECU calibration, a gain of 76hp and 150Nm, with a same-day ECU unlock and ZF 8HP gearbox calibration at the customer's address.

B58 and ZF 8HP

The M340i combines BMW's B58 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six with the ZF 8-speed automatic. It is an exceptionally capable platform, and Stage 1 brings a large increase in mid-range torque, stronger acceleration and sharper throttle response while keeping smooth, factory-like manners.

Same-day MG1CS201 ECU unlock

The car had the newer, locked Bosch MG1CS201 ECU, so it needed unlocking before tuning. We unlocked it and tuned the car on site in a single appointment, with no ECU mail-in, no days waiting and no second visit.

Gearbox calibration and gear display

We also calibrated the ZF 8HP gearbox to handle the extra performance, improving shift response and torque management, and switched on gear display so the selected gear shows during normal driving.
