BMW 430i Stage 1 & ZF8 Gearbox Tune

This BMW 430i went from 252hp and 350Nm to 287hp and 450Nm with our Stage 1 calibration, a gain of 35hp and 100Nm, with the ZF 8-speed gearbox calibrated to match.

The results

From 252hp as standard to 287hp, the BMW 430i gained 35hp, roughly 14% more power.

Torque rose from 350Nm to 450Nm (+100Nm), which is what you feel most in everyday driving: stronger pull from low revs and easier overtaking.

What the work involved

This was a Stage 1 calibration: no hardware changes, just carefully refined engine software. Boost, fuelling, timing and torque limits are adjusted within safe margins for more usable performance every day.

We also tuned the gearbox, raising its torque limits to match the engine and making shifts quicker and more decisive, particularly in Sport and manual modes.
