What Is ECU Remapping?
ECU remapping changes selected calibration data inside the engine control unit. On a suitable vehicle, it can alter how torque, boost, fuelling, ignition and throttle requests are managed while retaining the ECU's diagnostic and protection functions.
ECU Remapping
At MTechTuning, we specialize in custom ECU remapping to unlock your vehicle's true potential. Whether you're looking to improve performance, fuel efficiency, or simply enjoy a smoother driving experience, remapping could be the solution you've been searching for.
ECU (Engine Control Unit) remapping is the process of recalibrating the software that controls your vehicle's engine. By adjusting parameters like fuel delivery, ignition timing, and airflow, we can enhance your car's power, torque, and overall drivability.

FAQs About Remapping
Can ECU Remapping Improve Fuel Economy?

Common questions
Is ECU remapping legal in the UK?
Performance software is not automatically illegal, but the vehicle must remain roadworthy and emissions-compliant, and the modification must be declared to the insurer.
Can a remap damage an engine?
Poor calibration, excessive demands or an unhealthy vehicle can increase risk. Correct diagnostics, conservative limits, suitable fuel and proper maintenance are essential.
Can a remap be removed?
On supported ECUs, standard software can normally be restored. Dealer updates may also overwrite tuned calibration, so discuss them with the tuner.
