This BMW 335xd went from 313hp and 630Nm to 370hp and 730Nm with our Stage 1 calibration, a gain of 57hp and 100Nm, with ZF8HP gearbox software.

The results

From 313hp as standard to 370hp, the BMW 335xd gained 57hp, roughly 18% more power.

Torque rose from 630Nm to 730Nm (+100Nm), which is what you feel most in everyday driving: stronger pull from low revs and easier overtaking.

What the work involved

This was a Stage 1 calibration: no hardware changes, just carefully refined engine software. Boost, fuelling, timing and torque limits are adjusted within safe margins for more usable performance every day.

We also tuned the gearbox, raising its torque limits to match the engine and making shifts quicker and more decisive, particularly in Sport and manual modes.
