BMW F20 M140i Stage 1 Performance Retune

This BMW F20 M140i went from 340hp and 500Nm to 420hp and 600Nm with our Stage 1 Performance calibration, replacing an older map that was already on the car.

Found an old map

The owner was not sure if the car had been tuned before. After reading the ECU we found an existing map, so we wrote our own in-house calibration to add power where the old one was lacking.

The results

From 340hp as standard to 420hp, the BMW F20 M140i gained 80hp, roughly 24% more power.

Torque rose from 500Nm to 600Nm (+100Nm), which is what you feel most in everyday driving: stronger pull from low revs and easier overtaking.

What the work involved

The car had been tuned before, so we read the existing software and updated the calibration to suit what the owner wanted from it.

This was a Stage 1 calibration: no hardware changes, just carefully refined engine software. Boost, fuelling, timing and torque limits are adjusted within safe margins for more usable performance every day.
