F20/F21 M140i (2016–2019)

B58 3.0 turbo straight-six, 340hp and 500Nm, ZF 8-speed automatic or 6-speed manual.

What a remap does on the M140i

The B58 responds brilliantly to calibration: mid-range torque rises sharply and the car pulls hard all the way to the limiter. An M140i we tuned with a gearbox map went from 340hp to 420hp.

Stage 2, with supporting hardware, takes it further, and we can also retune cars that have previously been tuned elsewhere.

Gearbox tuning

On automatics, a ZF gearbox map raises torque limits and gives quicker, crisper shifts. Manual cars need no gearbox tune, though we check the clutch is healthy.
