The G20 M340i is one of the most popular performance BMWs on the road, and with an on-site ECU unlock it can be tuned without the car ever leaving your driveway. We come to you from our Weston-super-Mare base, across Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, South Wales and parts of Devon and Dorset.

G20/G21 M340i (2019 on)

B58 3.0 turbo straight-six, 374hp and 500Nm, xDrive or rear-drive. Most cars need an ECU unlock first.

Unlock, then tune

Most M340is have a locked Bosch MG1 ECU. We unlock it on site, save the original software and then write our calibration, or leave it ready for a third-party app such as MHD if you prefer.

Once unlocked, the M340i responds superbly: the B58 already makes strong torque, and Stage 1 adds a substantial amount on top.

Gearbox tuning

The ZF 8-speed in the M340i can be mapped for higher torque limits and quicker shifts to match the engine.

Does the M340i need an ECU unlock?

Most do. We confirm it from the registration and unlock it on site, usually in the same visit as the tune.

Can I use MHD after the unlock?

Yes. Once unlocked, you can use MHD or another flasher, or have us tune it.
