The results

From 420hp as standard to 446hp, the BMW E92 M3 gained 26hp, roughly 6% more power.

Torque rose from 400Nm to 450Nm (+50Nm), which is what you feel most in everyday driving: stronger pull from low revs and easier overtaking.

What the work involved

This was a Stage 2 calibration, written for a car with supporting hardware such as intake, intercooler or exhaust upgrades. With the engine breathing more freely, the software can safely ask more of it than a Stage 1 map.

We also tuned the gearbox, raising its torque limits to match the engine and making shifts quicker and more decisive, particularly in Sport and manual modes.
