The 330d's six-cylinder diesel is one of the best engines to tune: huge torque, strong economy and a superb gearbox to match. We come to you from our Weston-super-Mare base, across Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, South Wales and parts of Devon and Dorset.

BMW 330d generations we tune

Factory figures vary by market and year. We confirm your car's exact ECU and software before quoting.

E46 330d (2000–2005)

M57 3.0 diesel, 184–204hp and up to 410Nm.

E90/E91/E92 330d (2005–2012)

M57 then N57, 231–245hp and 500–520Nm.

F30/F31 330d (2012–2019)

N57, 258hp and 560Nm.

G20/G21 330d (2019 on)

B57, 265–286hp and 580–650Nm. Newer cars may need an ECU unlock first.

What a remap does on the 330d

The 330d's straight-six diesel makes big torque gains from software alone. An F30 330d we tuned with a gearbox tune went from 258hp to 320hp. On older M57 cars, the E46 330d (204hp) targets 250hp and 500Nm on Stage 1 and 270hp and 540Nm on Stage 2, and the 231hp E9x 330d targets 285hp and 600Nm on Stage 1 and 305hp and 640Nm on Stage 2. Figures are approximate targets and depend on the car's condition, fuel quality and supporting hardware.

We tune the 430d in the same way; a 430d we tuned went from 258hp to 320hp.

Gearbox tuning

The ZF 6-speed and 8-speed are mapped for higher torque limits and sharper shifts. On a high-torque diesel, a gearbox tune is strongly recommended.
