BMW 335i remapping in Bristol, Somerset and South Wales

The 335i is a tuning favourite, from the twin-turbo N54 E9x to the N55 F30. It is one of the cars we have tuned most, with plenty of results to show. We come to you from our Weston-super-Mare base, across Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, South Wales and parts of Devon and Dorset.

E90/E92/E93 335i (2006–2010)

N54 3.0 twin-turbo straight-six, 306hp and 400Nm.

E90/E92/E93 335i LCI (2010–2013)

N55 3.0 single twin-scroll turbo, 306hp and 400Nm.

F30/F31 335i (2012–2015)

N55, 306hp and 400Nm.

What a remap does on the 335i

The 335i makes large gains from software. On the E9x N55, our Stage 1 targets 365hp and 500Nm and Stage 2 390hp and 550Nm; on the F30/F31 N55 (and 435i), Stage 1 targets 370hp and 540Nm and Stage 2 400hp and 600Nm. The F30 ActiveHybrid 3 targets around 385hp and 550Nm combined on Stage 1. Figures are approximate targets and depend on the car's condition, fuel quality and supporting hardware.

We check the car first, as N54s in particular can have tired injectors, wastegates or fuel pumps that should be fixed before more boost is added.

Gearbox tuning

E9x automatics use the ZF 6-speed and F30s the ZF 8-speed; we tune both to match the engine.

Common questions

Is my 335i an N54 or N55?

E9x cars built before 2010 have the twin-turbo N54; later E9x LCI cars and every F30 335i have the N55. Send us the registration and we will confirm.

Can you tune the E92 335i gearbox?

Yes. We now tune the ZF 6-speed automatic used in E-series cars.
