BMW M6 and M8 remapping in Bristol, Somerset and South Wales

The M6 and M8 share the twin-turbo S63 V8 with the M5, and respond to calibration in much the same way. We tune both at your home or workplace. We come to you from our Weston-super-Mare base, across Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, South Wales and parts of Devon and Dorset.

BMW M6 and M8 generations we tune

Factory figures vary by market and year. We confirm your car's exact ECU and software before quoting.

F06/F12/F13 M6 (2012–2018)

S63 4.4 twin-turbo V8, 560hp and 680Nm; Competition 575hp and later 600hp.

F91/F92/F93 M8 (2019 on)

S63 4.4 twin-turbo V8, 600hp and 750Nm; Competition 625hp. Newer ECUs may need unlocking first.

Grand tourers with serious potential

These are heavy, fast grand tourers, so the most noticeable change from a remap is effortless mid-range: overtakes take less throttle and the car feels lighter on its feet.

As with every S63, we check the car carefully before tuning and calibrate within sensible limits for long-term reliability.

Gearbox tuning

The M6 uses a 7-speed DCT and the M8 a ZF 8-speed M Steptronic, both of which we tune to match the engine.

Is the M8 engine the same as the M5?

Yes. The F9x M8 uses the same twin-turbo S63 V8 as the F90 M5, so the tuning approach is very similar.

Yes. The F06 Gran Coupé shares the S63 and DCT with the coupé and convertible.
