BMW M4 remapping in Bristol, Somerset and South Wales

The M4 is one of the M cars we tune most, from the S55-powered F82 to the S58 G82, with engine and gearbox calibrated together. We come to you from our Weston-super-Mare base, across Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, South Wales and parts of Devon and Dorset.

BMW M4 generations we tune

Factory figures vary by market and year. We confirm your car's exact ECU and software before quoting.

F82/F83 M4 (2014–2020)

S55 3.0 twin-turbo straight-six, 431hp and 550Nm; Competition 450hp; CS 460hp and 600Nm.

G82/G83 M4 (2021 on)

S58 3.0 twin-turbo, 480hp and 550Nm; Competition 510hp and 650Nm. Newer ECUs may need unlocking first.

What a remap does on the M4

The S55 and S58 are both twin-turbo engines with boost under software control, so they respond strongly to calibration. Stage 1 suits a standard car; Stage 2 is for cars with supporting hardware such as downpipes and intake upgrades.

We calibrate for clean, repeatable power and keep the factory protections in place, so the car stays as usable on the road as it was from new.

Gearbox tuning

F82s with the 7-speed DCT gain faster shifts and higher torque limits from a matched gearbox map. The G82 uses the ZF 8-speed, which we tune to match.

Common questions

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 on an M4?

Stage 1 is calibrated for a standard car. Stage 2 is for cars with supporting hardware such as downpipes and intake upgrades, which let the engine safely make more power.

Do I need a gearbox tune with an M4 remap?

It is strongly recommended. The DCT and ZF gearboxes have torque limits that a gearbox map raises to suit the engine calibration.
