The 530d is a superb all-rounder, and its six-cylinder diesel makes it one of the most effective cars to remap: big torque, strong economy and easy motorway pace. BMW 530d generations we tune

Factory figures vary by market and year. We confirm your car's exact ECU and software before quoting.

E60/E61 530d (2003–2010)

M57 3.0 diesel, 218–235hp and 500–520Nm.

F10/F11 530d (2010–2017)

N57, 245–258hp and 540–560Nm.

G30/G31 530d (2017–2023)

B57, 265–286hp and 620–650Nm. Later cars may need an ECU unlock first.

What a remap does on the 530d

The 530d's straight-six diesel gains huge torque from a calibration. An E61 530d Touring we tuned at Stage 2 went from 231hp to 305hp. The B57 730d (G11/G12) targets 330hp and 720Nm on Stage 1 and 350hp and 760Nm on Stage 2. Figures are approximate targets and depend on the car's condition, fuel quality and supporting hardware.

A Touring with a remap makes an excellent tow car, with effortless pulling power.

Gearbox tuning

The ZF 6-speed and 8-speed are mapped to raise torque limits and sharpen shifts, which we recommend on any tuned six-cylinder diesel.

Common questions

Is a remapped 530d good for towing?

Yes. The extra low-down torque makes towing more relaxed, and we calibrate within sensible limits for the engine and gearbox.

Do you tune the 730d?

Yes. A 730d we tuned went from 265hp to 330hp. Stage 2 targets 350hp and 760Nm.
