BMW X5 diesel remapping in Bristol, Somerset and South Wales

The diesel X5 is one of the cars we tune most, from the E70 3.0d to the G05 M50d. A remap makes it stronger, more relaxed and better at towing. We come to you from our Weston-super-Mare base, across Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, South Wales and parts of Devon and Dorset.

BMW X5 diesel generations we tune

Factory figures vary by market and year. We confirm your car's exact ECU and software before quoting.

E70 X5 3.0d, 30d, 35d and 40d (2007–2013)

M57 and N57 diesels, 235–306hp and 520–600Nm.

F15 X5 30d, 40d and M50d (2013–2018)

N57: 258hp and 560Nm, 313hp and 630Nm, 381hp and 740Nm.

G05 X5 30d, 40d and M50d (2018 on)

B57: 265–286hp, 340hp and 700Nm, M50d 400hp and 760Nm. Later cars may need an ECU unlock first.

What a remap does on the X5

X5s we have tuned include a 30d with a gearbox tune from 258hp to 320hp, a 35d at Stage 2 from 286hp to 365hp, and an M50d with a gearbox tune from 381hp to 430hp. The G05 X5 30d targets 330hp and 720Nm on Stage 1 and 350hp and 760Nm on Stage 2. Figures are approximate targets and depend on the car's condition, fuel quality and supporting hardware.

For towing and long journeys, the extra low-down torque is what makes the biggest difference. Economy-focused tunes are also available.

Gearbox tuning

The ZF 6-speed and 8-speed are mapped for higher torque limits and smoother, quicker shifts, which we recommend on any tuned X5.
